Cats, dogs, rabbits & a crow - four stunning stories on the theme of Pets told in a packed Black Box on 16 January 2019: Sarah Hughes who remembers her Precious 30 years on; Iain McLean whose dog helped the family survive a bomb attack; Paul Whittington who - despite his surname - considered the “£25 option” for Molly the cat; Lydia Searle who is sure her rabbit is in pet Heaven. Paul & Padraig are the hosts with some pet tales of their own - yes, including a crow.

Recorded in March 2017, here are three stories of secrets & lies: Malachi O’Doherty and the secret of how “Pipe” got his nickname; Jane Searle on the family secret that had almost gone to the grave; Richard O’Leary and the one secret he kept from his mum. Father & son Paul & Jake Bond told a story each at our Belfast-themed evening on 28 November 2018. Jake was a first-timer with a story of being an outsider in Monaghan because of a Belfast accent while Paul shared the story of Aunt Minnie from Belfast & an actual Mercedes. Paul Doran is your host.

December 9th 2018 was dull, wet & cold but in Belfast’s Accidental Theatre there was warmth & cheer with true stories on JUSTICE as part of the NI Human Rights Festival: Conor Houston with a family tragedy; Malachí O’Doherty & the bureaucracy of Swiss justice; Margaret McClory & the injustice of school punishment; Paul Hutchinson - an egg, the school hard man & Lord of the Flies.

Five stories from our first tenx9 in Derry at Sandinos bar & what an eclectic gathering: Delaware’s Casey Aspin who knows the place where she feels at home; Cork’s Richard O’Leary who was a tourist in Derry in 1969; Belfast’s Caroline Orr who knew that Nanny Orr’s home was no picnic; nomad Dearbhaille Bradley who carried her home on her back & Eliza MacCafferty who knows there’s no place like home.
