For our Tenx9 on June 28, we are partnering up with the magnificent Belfast Photo Festival for a night of stories. We want nine people to tell us true stories about a photograph that will be on display while they tell their story.
We're delighted to let you know of our next Tenx9 on May 24 at 7.30pm in the Black Box in Belfast. The theme is "Changing" - changing languages, changing countries, changing nappies, changing mindsets, changing clothes, changing friends.
Young. We were/are all young. We have young lives; we have young dreams; we have young stories; young children; we did things when we were young that we loved or regretted. Join us on April 19 at 7.30pm in the Black Box for nine true stories about Young.
Frenemies. A new word for an old thing. Those friends who are a little bit enemy. You know them. They are texting people about you but text you accidentally. We're looking for true stories about when you had a frenemy, or when you were a frenemy, or when a frenemy became an enemy or a friend.
Join us at the Carafest festival at the Corrymeela centre in Ballycastle on Easter Sunday night for true stories about when friends and enemies meet.
So, Tenx9 on March 22nd is all about Secrets and Lies.We're looking for nine people to tell true stories from their lives about a secret or a lie. Secrets kept, secrets broken, lies told, lies that got out of control, lies that weren't believed... you get the drift. Don't worry though, none of us will tell.
Happy new year folks! Welcome back to a new year full of stories and goodness. Our theme for January 2017 is "Names". We are delighted to be with the Out to Lunch Festival for this lovely night. The theme for Tenx9 at Out To Lunch for 2017 is “Names”. We’re looking forward to true stories about this: naming your dog, nick names, insults, changing your name, names of places, names you rejected, names you loved.
Families. For December we will have nine true stories of up to ten minutes each telling stories of families. Families joined, family ties, family feuds, family reunions, family holidays, family habits.
Our theme for November 16 is "Home". Stories of the home you live in, the home you left, temporary homes, unexpected places where you've found home, seeking home when other homes are safe and making home with new people.
We're looking forward to our Tenx9 on October 26 at 7.30pm in the Black Box.
Our theme is "Age" -- we're looking for nine true stories of up to ten minutes each about Age. The stories can be about a particular birthday, the age you thought you'd die, the age you never thought you'd pass, the age you almost didn't pass, the age you discovered something or the age you lost something.
We are delighted to be back with the Belfast Comedy Festival on September 28th, showcasing some of the funniest stories from the last year of Tenx9s.

We are delighted to have a Tenx9 event at Bangor’s Open House Festival this year on August 22nd at 7.30pm at the Civil Defences Service Club. The theme will be ‘Bangor’ - nine people with up to ten minutes each to tell a true story about their favourite place (provided their favourite place is Bangor, obviously).
It's our fourth year at Pride and we are delighted to be back doing a Tenx9 night in partnership with this most magnificent of festivals. This year our theme is Love. We want stories of all kinds of love - love between friends, love of strangers, love of life, love of family, love hoped for, love lost, love found.
We are delighted to wish the beautifuls at the Black Box a happy tenth birthday.
And what better way to do it than with a special Tenx9 on the theme of "Ten".
You can tell us a story of when you were ten, or tell us a story of something that happened over the last ten years in the Black Box - a story of a gig you've been to, a story of a friendship begun in the Black Box, or anything to do with Ten or the Black Box.
It'll be a shorter night so we won't have as many stories - if you've interested, get in touch.
Yup, it's that time of year again - Tenx9 does show and tell. Bring an item (people have brought bullets, rings, photos, items of clothing, even another person!) and tell the true story about that item.
We are delighted to partner with our friends in the NI Mental Health Arts and Film Festival for this night of stories about Mental Health. Together with those in the festival, we chose the theme of "Mental" to reclaim that word which is so often used in a derogatory sense. So we will hear stories about the Mental part of our lives. Nine people with up to ten minutes each to tell a real story from their lives about all things mental-health. May 18th, in the Black Box Belfast. 7.30pm. Always true stories, always free.
Thanks. We say it all the time - we mean it, we sometimes don't, sometimes it feels enough, sometimes that small word can't contain the world of thanks it's trying to contain.

Our next Tenx9 is March 16th, and we are partnering up with the Imagine! festival of politics and ideas. Our theme is Change -- changes you made, tried to made, failed at, changes that failed you, change in your pocket, changing your image, changing your story, changing your affiliation, changing your mind.
Tenx9 is a storytelling night where 9 people have up to 10 minutes each to tell a true story from their lives. For Feb 2016, we are delighted to partner with the NI Science Festivalfor a night of true stories about science, true stories from scientists, true stories about scientists from people who aren't scientists, shouldn't be scientists, want to be scientists.
Our next night is in partnership with the Out to Lunch festival and is on Wednesday January 13th at 7.30pm in the Black Box. The theme is "Food" - food you've eaten, food you wish you hadn't eaten, food you had to eat, stories of food that have been part of your life, or not. We're not looking for live-recipes here folks, but true stories from your life about food.
We'd love to hear stories of food you've brought to people, food you've taken to people, and stories from the table.

Our next night is in partnership with the Out to Lunch festival and is on Wednesday January 13th at 7.30pm in the Black Box. The theme is "Food" - food you've eaten, food you wish you hadn't eaten, food you had to eat, stories of food that have been part of your life, or not.
Next time is December 16th, 7.30pm in the Black Box. The theme is Hard Times. Sleeping on hard floors, difficult experiences, Christmas childhoods, catastrophes that turned into opportunities, opportunities that turned into catastrophes - 9 people with up to ten minutes each to tell a true story from their lives. Our next theme is "Cold" on November 18th. Cold of heart, cold shoulder, having a cold, having no hot water, anger gone cold, yearning for cold during a long hot summer - you know the score. Take a theme, and tell us a true story of up to ten minutes on that theme.

So, after a wonderful summer with Tenx9 events at festivals here and in England, we are back in the Black Box on September 16th at 7.30pm.
We are delighted to have a Tenx9 at the Aperture Festival on August 1st.
The Aperture festival is happening at Corrymeela, who are celebrating an anniversary. So, what better way to do that than nine people with up to ten minutes each to tell stories about dates.
